About Loree Tamayo

Helping women build the life they deserve.

Loree Tamayo is a fellow abuse survivor. Because of the trauma and abuse she endured in her adolescent years, she was unconsciously attracted to flawed relationships. After leaving her abusive situation, Loree used her experience as a catalyst to examine why she made poor choices when it came to relationships. After years of therapy, reading, and applying what she learned, Loree rose above her abuse and trauma, and discovered that the path to true restoration began with her identity. Loree now works toward helping other survivors discover their true selves to find healing and restoration.

Every woman deserves to live free from abuse and exploitation.

Hear Loree's Story

Loree is passionate about helping women develop skills and resources to empower them in their journey through life. She enjoys sharing her journey and mentoring others through speaking engagements, a course covering a variety of topics, and an upcoming book.

Loree is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experience not just with victims, but the general public. Her speaking engagements and courses on emotional intelligence and boundary setting in the workplace help many businesses go from good to great. She has authored courses, books, a healing curriculum, and presentations that help all audiences.

Loree’s recovery took years and countless resources. To pay it forward, she has put together a healing curriculum in a workbook so those who are struggling with abuse and trauma will have a resource that’s condensed and easily accessible to them.

Loree offers consulting services to equip allies, service providers, and churches to effectively reach and support women in their cities by developing their own transitional housing program in their communities.

Yesterday's Gone

Loree has built a successful business as a consultant. Her success has made it possible for her to start a nonprofit called Yesterday’s Gone, a transitional housing program that helps women transition from domestic violence shelters or safe houses to living independently with strength and dignity. Loree has made it her life mission to help women have a choice. Have a choice to leave an abusive situation. Have a choice to live and thrive and not have to go back to their former relationships.

Loree is currently the executive director of Yesterday’s Gone, located near Austin, Texas.

Part of the proceeds from the sale of this curriculum and speaking engagements help fund this 501c3 organization. Please visit yesterdaysgone.org for more information about the organization.
