DHCHD was a hospital district on the brink of closure, losing over $500,000 per year for the past 12 years. Within two years Loree and her team turned it around resulting in a $2.3 million net profit in two years, $3.9 million net profit for year three, and a $4.8 million reduction in short-term debt.

 

  • Increased revenue $3 to $4 million in revenue with the Emergency Department Case Management (EDCM) program, Telemedicine, Physician Recruitment, Reverse Referrals, and increased volumes through marketing.
  • Decreased $3 million in expenses with shared services, outsourcing the EMS service, contract renegotiations, and staffing productivity standards.
